Where change meets opportunity
Boreal IM is an opportunity-driven real estate investment manager. Headquartered in London with a pan-European presence, our partners bring an average of 20 years of cross-sector real estate investment experience at leading private equity managers.
Boreal IM was founded in 2022 by Louis-Simon Ferland, with Nikos Koulouras, James Farmer and Peter Bingel joining as partners after having known each other and worked together for many years. It consists of 24 people based in the UK, France and the Netherlands.
We believe a successful investment strategy must entail clarity of conviction. Our approach to investments combines analytical rigor, deep local networks and collegiality within our team and with the market.
We harness market data and our collective insights to identify, acquire and operate assets with strong secular tailwinds and defensive characteristics where the opportunity for returns is outsized.

Clarity of conviction
We believe that real estate assets with strong fundamentals benefiting from secular tailwinds will outperform. We are therefore on the lookout for paradigm shifts and changing societal patterns that will affect how people and organisations use real assets. Our conviction is borne out of a dogged pursuit of data, extensive analysis, and judgment informed by the accumulated experience of our team.

Together we rise
At Boreal we take both our work and play seriously. Our London headquarters is in a bright office in the heart of Soho where we are busy building up an exceptional portfolio.
It’s also where we have monthly Cocktail Fridays, regular birthday celebrations, and everyone is invited to showcase treats and traditions from the 16 nationalities we have represented. Our teammates in Paris and the Netherlands work from home and shared workspaces but visit London regularly.
Amidst the meetings, Powerpointing and deadlines, we make a point of laughing and fostering a welcoming and enjoyable workplace.
